Fretz® RF-1 Small Fluting Repoussé and Chasing Tool
Perform a wide range of hand-wrought metal shaping and forming tasks with this quality-made, hardened steel tool from Fretz® . This RF-1 tool is designed for introducing small fluted forms into metal using embossing (chasing) techniques; ideal for fine and intricate jewelry designs. The shank of the tool is squared-off and matte-finished with a 90° twist at the end, providing a secure, slip-free grip while working. The tip of the tool is highly polished with a mirror finish to form without marring the metal surface.
Fluting tools are designed to make straight and curved flutes in sheet metal, creating three-dimensional forms. Fluting tools can make smaller and more defined flutes than is possible with hammer fluting with stakes alone, and are also ideal for texturing metal surfaces.
